The best file manager for your Android phone just got easier to use and knockout new looks!

GoAruna Files for Android has a new look and a new home menu screen. We wanted to make it very easy for you to access, manage and capture your files, both in the cloud and on your Android mobile device. Here is what our design team, developers and user experience teams came up with..

- Both cloud and local file access is easier than ever
– Access to the main functions and menus that you frequently use
– Capture and upload. Press the round button in the bottom left of the screen and you get quick access to take a picture, video, record audio or create a new note. This is then uploaded directly to your GoAruna online storage account to make sure you have it safe and sound and of course to access the newly captured media on any computer in the future.

Next up, Transfers. You will notice a new button that says Transfers. We wanted to have one place where you can look for all of your transfers both in and out of your device and account. The first things we put here are two ways for you or others to send files to your GoAruna Account.
1. Drop box. This is your personal files inbox. Anyone can use this dedicated web page to upload any files directly to you through a web browser. The files uploaded here will appear in your Inbox.
2. Upload by eMail. Here we give you an unique “Upload by eMail” email address. You or others can use any regular email program to upload files to your GoAruna Account. Just attach a file to an email, address it to your Upload by eMail address and click send. It will appear in your GoAruna Inbox.

The new version is version 0.8.1.0 and is available in the Android Market already, just search GoAruna in the Market on your Android phone.

GoAruna Files App in Android Market

This is a catch up post to let you know that the Japanese version of GoAruna Files for Android mobile devices is available.  It actually was released a few versions ago so you can get the Japanese version of GoAruna Files for Android anytime.  As with all Android translations, you just need to have your Android operating system language set to Japanese and then GoAruna Files Android will automatically appear in Japanese for you (this is the same with all languages).

This week we have released GoAruna Bestanden, our Dutch version of GoAruna Files for Android devices.  The Dutch UI is included in the current and all future versions of GoAruna Files in the Android Market.

Today we have released Archivos GoAruna which now allows our Spanish speaking friends to enjoy GoAruna in their native language on their Android devices.

Our Spanish version is v0.6.2 and is available in the Android Market immediately.  To manage your Android files in Spanish with GoAruna, just set your main phone language in Android to Spanish and then open up the GoAruna App.  It will be in Spanish automatically already for you.

Today we have released the next version of GoAruna files for Android.

The main feature in this release will allow you to select multiple local files or pictures from the Android photo library, zip them and either send to others or upload the zip file to your storage.

We have also added functionality so you can better manage and share your photos in the Android photo Library. You can now rename, delete and show info for your library photos on your Android device.

If you don’t yet have GoAruna on your Android phone, first sign up for a free account and then search GoAruna in the Android Marketplace (under Apps > Productivity). GoAruna Files for Android is the easiest way to manage and share all your files on your Android phone.

GoAruna Files for Android v0.5.26 is available now in the Android Marketplace.

Last week’s Go Aruna Files application for Android introduced a bug that was force quitting the app on login for Android versions 1.5 and below.

We have found and fixed the bug and now GoAruna files is working again on v1.5 and below.

If you have experienced this problem please goto the Android marketplace and download GoAruna Files version v0.5.24.

If you have an android version greater than 1.5 and everything is working fine, it is not critical you upgrade to this version (but it also will not hurt anything)

While GoAruna Files already had the capability to select multiple files and perform upload and downloads from your Android handset, we have improved this functionality even more.

- Now easier to access this functionality from the menu
- More operations have been added to multiple file functionality.  Move, copy, delete etc. are now possible for multiple files at the same time.
- Generally easier to use
- Improved multiple file operation status screen

This release also has:

- The back button now takes you up one directory level for easier navigation through your GoAruna storage or local phone files
- Bug fixed – occasional error when renaming, copy or moving local files

It is recommended that everyone upgrade to the new version (v0.5.23).  It is available in the Android Marketplace on your phone under Applications > Productivity > GoAruna Files.
